Tournament bound

Gulls prepare to head to North Bend for the state basketball tournament. 

Seaside’s run at a fifth straight championship game appearance in the 4A boys basketball state tournament came to an end Friday afternoon at Marshfield High School, where No. 1-ranked Junction City held off the Gulls, 43-35, helping the Tigers secure a spot in Saturday’s championship game.

The Gulls were bounced into Saturday’s third-place consolation game.
