Seaside kids show support

Seaside's Associated Study Body will lead a fundraiser to the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.

Seaside High School’s ASB presents "Dollars for Doernbecher" with a goal to raise $1,500 for Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.

During the week of Dec. 17 to Dec. 21, there will be fundraising events hosted at the high school Community members are also welcome to donate.

For $1, community members can pay to try to make a free throw during the Seaside basketball games during the Holiday Classic Tournament Dec. 20-Dec. 22.

Everyone who makes it will have their name entered in a raffle for an amazing basket with items from our fabulous town of Seaside. If you aren’t much of a free throw shooter, a talented freshman may make the shot for you. If the player makes it, every $1 donated will result in a raffle ticket. Holiday ornaments that are red with a Seaside "S" on them will also be sold during the tournament and in the community for $5 each.

During lunch, students can pay a dollar to take a punch at our punch wall for a hidden prize. All profits go to Doernbecher.

Any business or individual that donates will receive a sign showing they supported the cause. For more information, contact advisors Annie Lynes at alynes@seasidek12.org or Jim Poetsch at poetsch@seasidek12.org.
