Artist in residence

The gallery's first 2019 artist in residence was awarded to Seaside resident and long-time arts association volunteer Dorota Haber-Lehigh.

The Cannon Beach Arts Association is hosting an artist’s reception for the 2019 Photography Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m., at the Cannon Beach Gallery. The exhibit features local photographers Justin Bailie, Don Frank, Maya Dooley, George Vetter, Kristin Steinke, Lynne Allison, Kim Rose Adams, Cindi Plath, Carolyn Propst, Julie Adams, and Bob Kroll. The Cannon Beach Photography Invitational is sponsored by the Wine Shack & Martha Moulton will be on display at the Cannon Beach Gallery from Wednesday, Feb. 13 to Sunday, March 24.

The gallery is hosting a fisherpoet on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. which will include a pop-up art exhibit featuring Drea Frost and Tom Grogg in honor of this event. Frost is a former CBAA art grant recipient and her art has been featured in multiple local galleries and most recently on the cover of "Just Movin’ the Water Around" by Peter Lindsey. The work will be on display in a temporary exhibit starting Friday, Feb. 22 and ending after the fisherpoet reading on Sunday.

The gallery's first 2019 artist in residence was awarded to Seaside resident and long-time arts association volunteer Dorota Haber-Lehigh. Haber-Lehigh. will be creating art in the gallery on Saturdays in February and March between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Her work will be featured in a group exhibit with other members of the Oregon Botanical Artists from Wednesday, March 27 to Sunday, May 5.

The gallery's current exhibit, "At Home and Abroad," features 40 local and regional artists. It is on display until Sunday, Feb. 10. The Cannon Beach Gallery is a nonprofit organization and is located at 1064 S. Hemlock; cannonbeacharts.org.
