Feb. 9, 1958 — Nov. 3, 2018

Raymond Kyle Weston, age 60, formerly of Gearhart, passed away of natural causes at his home in Eugene, Oregon, on Nov. 3, 2018. Kyle was born Feb. 9, 1958, in Spokane, Washington, to Ray and Jean Weston (deceased), also formerly of Gearhart.

Kyle attended Gearhart Elementary School, Broadway Middle School and Seaside High School, where he graduated in 1976. He was a member of the Seaside High School football team and golf team, and remained an avid golfer throughout his life. Kyle had a passion for long-distance running, and participated in several marathons in Seaside in his earlier years.

Soon after graduating from high school, Kyle moved to Lake Oswego, then to Portland in 1978 to start his career with McGuire Bearing Co. as a regional sales representative, and worked at their Portland location until being transferred to their Eugene branch in 1993. He retired from McGuire Bearing in 2003.

In the early 1990s, Kyle also worked for PJP (Peter Jacobsen Productions) as the lead players’ assistant, assisting golf pros at many different golf events, although his favorite was the Fred Meyer Challenge played in Portland, Oregon.

Kyle is survived by a brother, Craig Weston (wife, Dana), of Seaside; nephew, Tyler Weston (wife, Fellicia) and grandnephew, Cooper Raymond Weston, of Hammond.

A private family celebration of life was held on Nov. 25, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to United Way of Clatsop County.
