The city of Seaside Water Department will begin its annual water main flushing program over the next two months. During this time period people may experience turbid or “redish” colored water. This may include a slight alteration to taste and a mild odor may be present.

The water is safe for consumption and should clear up after running your taps for a few minutes (usually three to seven minutes). If the condition continues, notify Seaside Public Works at 503-738-5112.

The Seaside Water Department is a division of Seaside Public Works and operates 24 hours a day, seven days per week, 365 days a year. The city of Seaside thanks its residents and businesses for their understanding during this annual maintenance program to keep the water system safe and effective.
