The Seaside Farmers Market will make its season debut on Wednesday, June 22 with a new location, more vendors and a new Little Sprouts program.
The market is now located in the Broadway Middle School parking area along Highway 101/Roosevelt Drive near the Broadway Street intersection, adjacent to the Seaside Chamber of Commerce.
“It will have a more visible presence,” Market Manager Rachael Bailey said.
The market does a Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program match of up to $10 per person per week.
Nehalem Bay Winery and Sea Star Gelato are among the vendors that will be at the first market.
New vendors have joined the market this year, offering an expanded local produce selection. Roasted nuts, honey, berries, bakery, fresh-cut flowers, dog treats and more will be offered.
The new Little Sprouts program, led by Clatsop County Master Gardeners, provides children with a $1 token each week.
The market will be from 3 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday until Aug. 1. More volunteers are needed, and those interested can contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
