Sea lion found at Silver Point

Sea lion appears to have choked on its prey.

Melinda Sage Bruton spotted this sea lion early Saturday morning at Silver Point. According to Bruton, Keith Chandler, general manager of the Seaside Aquarium said a sharp-finned fish is probably the cause of death. A sharp serrated fin appears lodged in the sea lion’s throat. Death by breakfast, apparently, Bruton commented.
