Ronald Theodore Pierson passed away on September 15, 2014, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born in Portland and lived in the Eastmoreland area of Portland for 65 years, where he and his wife raised their five children before retiring in Seaside. He married his high school sweetheart Glorane Bowers; they were married for over 50 years until her untimely death. He attended Washington High School.

Ron retired from Wilson Sporting Goods after 30 years of loyal service. Ron loved to “watch things grow,” camp, fish, golf and building/fixing things around his home and his children’s homes.

Ron is survived by his children, Jeffrey, Debbie, Ron, Theresa and Michael; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Hilda and Pete Pierson and his brother Norman Pierson.

Ron will be missed greatly by his children, grandkids and great-grandkids, and will remain in all their hearts forever.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Seaside, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Seaside, Oregon, c/o Ronald Pierson.
