The public is invited to a short service honoring those who served and died at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on Dec. 7, 1941, marking the entry of the United States into the Second World War.

The memorial begins at 9 a.m. at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center inside the lobby area. The service will move outside to the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge, located adjacent to the convention center, for a wreath laying ceremony and a possible Coast Guard flyover at 9:55 a.m. American Legion Post 99 in Seaside is sponsoring this event. Refreshments will be served after the service.

For more information, call Eric Beal at 503-470-0776. The Seaside Civic and Convention Center is located at 415 First St.
