April 5

11:21 a.m., 2300 block S.E. Dolphin, Warrenton: Civilian came into police headquarters to turn in a found cellphone. Police contact Seaside police to determine they had no report. Phone logged into evidence for safekeeping.

April 6

9:04 a.m., Clatsop: Police respond to a report of a male attempting to hike to the summit of Saddle Mountain during inclement weather. Police say he was inadequately dressed. At the two mile point, he was overcome by cold and exhaustion and refused to go up or down, requiring assistance. Hamlet Fire, Medix, a Clatsop County Deputy, and an OSP officer responded. The man was given food and blankets and ultimately walked down the mountain, where he was transported to Seaside Providence for treatment.

5:27 p.m., Highway 26 and Wolf Creek: The driver of a black Jeep was stopped at MP 26 during heavy spring break traffic, pulled over for reckless driving. The driver, Terrance Forrest Mancia, 43 of Hillsboro, was also cited for failure to carry proof of insurance and violation of basic Oregon driving rules.
