Portland woman charged with DUII-Alcohol and reckless driving
On June 30 at 8:53 p.m., a reporting party observed the operator of a silver Honda Fit driving erratically on Highway 26 near milepost 24 traveling west. The reporting party began video recording the vehicle and observed the driver continuously failing to maintain their lane. Oregon State Police pulled the vehicle over at the Baker’s General Store where the reporting party contacted the driver and said they seemed to be under the influence of intoxicants. The driver stated to police she had taken various medications, including Oxycodine and was borderline diabetic. She was transported by Medix to Seaside Providence Hospital for medical evaluation. The driver, Chris Annette Boslar, 71 of Portland, was later discharged and arrested for DUII-Alcohol and transported to the Seaside police headquarters where she provided breath samples registering .15 blood alcohol content three hours after being initially contacted. She was additionally charged with reckless driving.
Seaside man pulled over for defective lighting
On June 30 at 9:39 p.m., a 36-year-old man from Seaside driving a silver Honda Civic was pulled over for defective lighting. A check through DMV showed the driver has a suspended license. Other occupants of the vehicle did not have valid driving privileges. The vehicle was impounded.
