Two-car accident

On June 26 at 1:17 p.m. on U.S. Highway 101 and Old Pine Drive in Gearhart, troopers responded to a two-car accident involving two Washington state drivers. One car rear ended another when traffic slowed. Classic Towing was on scene. No injuries were reported.

No insurance, wanted on warrant

On July 3 at 12:52 a.m. Joseph Gene Hubbard, 19, from Albany was arrested after being stopped on U.S. Highway 26 in Seaside for a moving vehicle violation. During investigation Hubbard could provide no proof of valid insurance and it was learned he is wanted on a warrant from Linn County. He was cited for violations and arrested on the Linn County warrant and lodged at the Clatsop jail.

Seaside woman cited

A 29-year-old Seaside woman tandem traveling with another driver in two cars July 3 at 4:05 p.m. was cited for moving vehicle violations on U.S. Highway 26 at Milepost 13. Both drivers admitted to having no insurance and driving in violation of their probationary permits. Both cars were towed by Classic Towing and the occupants of the cars given a courtesy ride to Safeway in Seaside.

Car thefts

Multiple families reported July 5 around 8 p.m. items taken from their cars while parked at Hug Point Beach State Park. State police are investigating.
