The Cannon Beach Academy received a grant award from Oregon’s Department of Education to expand operations and provide further educational support to our community.

The Cannon Beach Academy, a charter school with 501(c)(3) status, providing tuition-free, public education within the Seaside School District, was awarded a $180,000 grant from the Oregon Department of Education. This grant is restricted and cannot be used for staff compensation.

According to a statement issued Tuesday, the school is one of only a few charter schools awarded a grant in the entire state of Oregon. This is the second state education grant awarded to the academy since its opening.
