A 55-year-old woman was killed in a one-car crash on Highway 26 about 36 miles east of Seaside early Saturday morning. Roberta Ann Lundquist, a Portland resident, lost control on the icy roadway. When she overcorrected, the Toyota traveled sideways down the westbound shoulder, striking several trees before coming to a rest.
Lundquist was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries from the crash.
One lane of Highway 26 was closed for about 5 hours during the investigation.
State police were assisted by Elsie-Vinemaple Volunteer Fire Department, Tillamook County Medical Examiner and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
