Residents of Seaside were alarmed to receive a tsunami alert Wednesday morning. A test of the system had been scheduled for 11 a.m., but a wrong switch was activated and a tsunami alert was issued.

There is no tsunami alert, Esther Moberg, spokesman for the Seaside Police Department said Wednesday morning, and there is nothing for residents to fear.
