51-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday, June 19, after a man backed up driving a Ford Ranger truck during an argument.

A deputy with the Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office responded to Highway and Nordmark Drive in Seaside for a report of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

The 51-year-old female victim, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital prior to the deputy arriving and later flown to Oregon Health Sciences University hospital.

Ronald Keith Hobbs, 57, was taken into custody at the scene and lodged in the Clatsop County Jail on June 19, on one count each of reckless endangering and assault IV. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.

Cannon Beach Police Department assisted on the call.
